A Big Bang is a collaborative event between artists and writers: Writers will write a new fic, and artists will be paired up with a writer based on their summary to create an artwork accompanying the fic. All creators will work for several months, to release everything on the same day, creating an "explosion" of content (hence the name)!
Our Big Bang will be dedicated to the Professor Layton series, to celebrate the series as a whole as well as the upcoming release of the long-awaited new game!

What kind of content will you have?
🎩 ▸ We're looking for artists and writers! Plus, in homage to the amazing work of Puzzle Master Akira Tago on the series, we would also love to have puzzle-makers onboard, to include a little puzzle to solve in each project!Will Alternate Universes / crossovers be allowed?
🎩 ▸ Yes! Though since this is a Professor Layton Big Bang, it is expected the main focus remains on the Layton characters.Will shipping be allowed?
🎩 ▸ Yes — however, pedophiliac ships (including aged-up characters) and incestuous ships won't be allowed. Any ship will need to be properly mentioned during the sign-up phase for everyone’s comfort!Will NSFW content be allowed?
🎩 ▸ No. As we want everyone to be able to participate, we’re not comfortable hosting SFW and NSFW content side by side.Will I be allowed to use Original Characters?
🎩 ▸ Yes and no! Your work can feature Original Characters as minor / background characters. Original Characters as major characters should be discussed with the person you’ll be paired with.

For writers
🪙 ▸ Regardless of your wordcount, it’s expected that the work posted is final (even if chaptered), and not a work in progress. It must be a standalone (no prior reading should be required to read your new piece).🪙 ▸ Your work can be traditional or non-traditional prose. Any writing genre is welcome!For artists
🪙 ▸ Your work must be showcasing a scene of the piece of the writer you’ll be paired with. There’s no maximum number of art pieces you can do, however, it's expected that all works posted can be considered final in your medium.🪙 ▸ Any art medium is welcome!For everyone
🪙 ▸ Your work must be Safe For Work. Your work cannot include explicit sexual or violent content. Content such as light violence, non-graphic character death, etc. is allowed, but should be properly tagged when posted.🪙 ▸ You can not show your work-in-progress publicly, as we want to keep it a surprise for the Big Bang day! You can, however, use it for private portfolios.

FUTURE BRITISH GENTLEMAN
TIER 001
In this tier are welcome writers who aim for a smaller wordcount, from 1,000 to 5,000 words (with lower exceptions possible for non-traditional writing, poetry for example)!
The art pieces for this tier won't need necessarily to be fully colored or to have a background.
PUZZLE MASTER
TIER 002
In this tier are welcome writers who want to go after every picarat, starting their wordcount at 5,000 words! The art pieces for this tier need to be fully-colored and to have a background.Note: if you sign-up in Tier 1, you can opt-up to the higher tier. your partner won't have to do the same! (So, for example, if you're in Tier 1 but decide to extend your work, your partner artist won't be obligated to change their piece to a full-colored piece.)
